Charity neutering work abroad: an RVN’s experience by Nicola Roberts
ABSTRACT: Since 2007, Toachim House Vets and Faversham Animal Welfare charity have been working together to raise money to enable a small team of vets and nurses to travel abroad to neuter and treat feral cats in overpopulated areas of Turkey and Spain.

Nicola has worked with animals, in zoos, kennels, rescue centres, and as a veterinary nurse since she was eighteen. She has been nursing for ten years and been qualified for eight. She also teaches veterinary nursing at Canterbury College. Nicola has worked at Toachim House Veterinary Surgery for five years, where she first started helping with this project, and she also works forVets Now in emergency care.
