In October 2014, I went to India with the Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) to attend the International Training Centre (ITC) for two weeks as part of a neutering project. The Centre is situated in Ooty, a small town in Tamil Nadu, and is a seven-hour car journey south from Bangalore airport. The journey, however, is made a lot easier, as the final part goes through the beautiful Mudumalai National Park and Tiger Reserve. Here we saw monkeys, wild boar, deer and elephants – unfortunately, however, no tigers.
