When veterinary nurse decides to leave their employment, for whatever reason, he/she takes with them their skills, knowledge, and experience. Much of this will have been achieved by formal training and learning and the employer will have paid for this, but if the employee leaves either during or soon after a training course finishes, the employing practice will not see the benefit. It is very common practice for employers to ask employees to sign an agreement that they will repay the training costs in the event that they leave; either during the course or for some period of time afterward.
