Right to time off for antenatal appointments by Nicky Ackerley

Part 8 of the new Children and Families Act 2014 gives all employees, male and female, who are in a ‘qualifying relationship’ with a pregnant woman the statutory right to take time off to attend antenatal appointments. This new legislation comes into effect on 1 October 2014 and applies from day one of your employment.
