My maternity leave is coming to an end but I don’t want to go back to work by Nicky Ackerley
Most of us know that during maternity leave we maintain an entitlement to all our normal employment terms and conditions, except salary. We continue to build up holiday entitlement and can take any holiday we accrue before or after our maternity leave ends. We can come to an agreement with our employer and work up to 10 ‘keeping in touch’ paid days during maternity leave without losing any Statutory Maternity Pay. Then, at the end of our maternity leave, we have the right to return to our original job or failing that a similar job on the same terms and conditions.
