ABSTRACT: Technology used within the classroom situation is changing rapidly, with new hi-tech devices being developed. Students expect – and should receive – different learning experiences from their time in training. The expectations of students are more demanding, especially within higher education; so student training should be both entertaining and educational.

Juliet worked in both mixed and small animal practice for 20 years before moving into the education sector; where she has been involved with both the training of veterinary nurses as well as its standardisation, whilst working for the RCVS. At present, she works for Hartpury College on a part-time basis, which leaves space for her to indulge her love of horses. Highlights of her career include being part of the equine support team for both the Beijing and London Olympics.

Celia has worked at Hartpury for the last three years and has just completed her studies for the PGCE. At present, she is on a sabbatical travelling around New Zealand.
