An RVN’s guide to clinical coaching
By Bethan Lovvorn BSc(Hons), RVN, FHEA. Bethan qualified as an RVN from Nottingham Trent University in 2021 and later that year she enrolled on the BSc top-up degree programme. In 2023, Bethan was a finalist in the ‘30 under Thirty’ at the London Vet Show. She is interested in emergency care, nutrition and anaesthesia. In addition to working at Willow Veterinary Centres, Bethan has completed a placement in a
specialist intensive care unit and has worked with veterinary charities that support homeless people and their pets. In her spare time, Bethan enjoys reading, walking and visiting natural history museums.
ABSTRACT Being a clinical coach is both challenging and rewarding. Each veterinary nursing student needs a different teaching approach, so this article aims to give you the tools and knowledge to help every student veterinary nurse under your supervision complete their training course and join you on the Register of Veterinary Nurses.
