A restrictive covenant is a clause in a contract of employment. It is used to protect the business interests of the employer from possible harm caused by the actions of employees after they have left. As any such clause may affect your future employment opportunities, it is extremely important that you read your contract carefully before signing and take into account any potential consequences.
