With your BVNA membership, you get exclusive viewings to our live webinars, covering all aspects of being a Veterinary Nurse! We have webinars coming up on clinical nursing, mindfulness and how to start a rehab clinic in practice.
Here’s what’s coming up:
- Demystifying Ophthalmology – Medical and Surgical Ophthalmology Nursing on the 10th of February at 7pm with Dr Audrey Chanoit. During this second of two sessions, we will focus on medical and surgical ophthalmology: How to identify signs of ocular pain? Which ocular medication to use? What are the common ocular signs associated with eye disease? We will comment on cases to outline some very common eye conditions. Finally, we will review which antiseptic solution to use safely around the eye and how to prepare a patient for an eye surgery.
- Creating a positive mindset and feeling good about life! Live on the 18th of February at 7pm with Roo Davies, aka The Mojo Coach and Rosie Allister from Vetlife Helpline. This webinar will be an informal chat with experts. We’ll be doing some practical exercises and finding out how Vetlife can help us, no matter what life throws at us. You can email any of your questions to katie@bvna.co.uk beforehand.
- Laser Therapy as an Essential Tool for Modern Vet Nurse Clinics – Science, Clinical Results and Setting up a Successful Laser Clinic in Vet Practice on the 24th of February at 7pm with Dr. Stephen Barabas who runs K-Laser UK. This lecture gives an overview of important factors that determine successful laser therapy such as its wavelengths, pulse frequencies, clinical applications and understanding how they accelerate healing and reduce pain and inflammation.
- How to set up and operate multimodal pain and MSK rehab clinics within veterinary practice on the 10th of March at 7.30pm with Dr. Stephen Barabas. This webinar looks beyond single therapies but combining proven weight loss, laser therapy, pain management drugs, surgical techniques, electro-stimulator devices, regenerative medicine, supplements and hydrotherapy/physiotherapy/massage therapy to get the best multimodal results for small animal and equine patients suffering with chronic pain and osteoarthritis.
