Lecture Synopsis;

British wildlife will often be presented to small animal veterinary practices by members of the public for emergency care. The basic principles of first aid for the vast majority of wildlife casualties are the same as those provided to domestic species. However, when faced with a species that you are unfamiliar with it can be quite daunting. The aim of this webinar is to provide support for veterinary nurses and instill confidence on how to triage and provide first aid for a range of British wildlife casualties.

Learning Points;

  • Be able to triage wildlife casualties regardless of species
  • Confidently handle a range of British wildlife
  • Be able to make decisions regarding euthanasia of British wildlife casualties
  • Be able to provide emergency first aid to a range of British wildlife
