Ahead of its 50th Annual Congress this week, the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) is calling for veterinary nurses to complete its new survey – with responses sought from both its members and the wider profession.

This inaugural annual survey seeks feedback to ensure the BVNA can remain relevant and informed about what the UK veterinary nursing profession needs and values from its representative body. It covers:

  • Which benefits are valued and used by members
  • What the VN profession would like to see from the BVNA
  • How the BVNA can engage more with both members and the wider profession

The surveys of both BVNA members and the wider VN profession are open until midnight on 30th November 2023, and can be accessed at the following links –

BVNA President, Charlotte Pace, commented:

“At the BVNA, our members are at the heart of everything we do – to represent, champion and strengthen the voice of the veterinary nursing profession. This is therefore an important opportunity for members, and the profession as a whole, to have your say on what matters to you.

“Our upcoming 50th Annual BVNA Congress highlights that, as an association, we have progressed and adapted with the times. Your ongoing feedback is vital to enable us to do so.

“We know that there are many new challenges currently affecting veterinary nurses and their teams. Completing the BVNA survey will mean that we can understand more about what the profession needs from us, and how we can shape what we do to meet these needs.

“Take the opportunity to speak to us at BVNA Congress, complete the survey, and make sure you use your voice to shape our direction.”

Members will also receive a direct invitation to complete the survey via email. A summary of the results will be published by the BVNA in early 2024.

BVNA Congress 2023 takes place between Friday 6th – Sunday 8th October 2023, at Telford International Centre. More information can be found at; www.bvna.org.uk/congress
