This webinar will explore how to support brachycephalic patients by utilising nurse clinics. Ownership of brachycephalic breeds has been constantly rising in recent years and their popularity continued to soar during the pandemic. Despite more members of the public owning these breeds, education of their specialised care as pets is still limited, with many not finding out about breed specific conditions until they arise. Topics covered in this webinar will include the BVA’s 10 Point Plan (in particular ‘pre-purchase consults’), anatomical factors, dealing with brachycephalic breeders, implementing practice protocols, and how to educate and assist owners.
