Lecture Synopsis;
The lecture strips inhalational anaesthesia to the basics, going through the different breathing systems and how the choice of breathing system influences fresh gas flow. Good understanding of the basics will allow you to reduce flow, which maximises economy (and saves money) and reduces pollution. Your understanding of how to manage inhalational anaesthesia will not only help reduce carbon emission, but also hone your skills to titrate the gases to your patients’ need and provide a more stable anaesthesia.
