Throughout 2025, BVNA has provided sole representation of the veterinary nursing voice within a working group led by UK government – tasked with driving the development of new legislation to finally replace the outdated Veterinary Surgeons Act.

We are delighted that Natasha Widdowson, Head of Veterinary Policy at Defra, will be joining us at BVNA Congress 2025.

Along with taking part in a discussion panel on ‘Updates on VSA reform’ on Friday 10th October, Natasha will also be available on the BVNA stand for a series of drop-in slots throughout Saturday 11th October. She is keen to engage with as many veterinary nurses as possible to understand your views – and it is a fantastic opportunity to hear more on VSA reform, directly from Defra.
