A successful CPR attempt is not solely defined by the occurrence of return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC). Many factors come into play and any of those not being properly executed can result in team members being left with feeling of disappointment, frustrated and anxiety. This can happen even with ROSC.
A successful CPR is one where all team members feel they did their best, were able to perform well and were heard.
During this talk we will look at how we can optimise our environment for successful CPR, considering human factors and how we can account for those.
We will also consider how to establish the current level of learning of the team and yourself before exploring how to develop this.
Throughout the session we will refer to non-clinical skills that can have an impact on our team’s experience of CPR and how we can adapt these for positive effect.
