During the BVNA AGM on Saturday 10th October, held at BVNA Congress 2026, honorary BVNA membership was presented to Samantha Morgan RVN.

Sam started her journey as a BVNA volunteer as a regional co-ordinator in 2008, before being elected to BVNA Council in 2010. She served an extended term of nine years, including two years as President between 2015-2017.

Since stepping down from BVNA Council in 2019, Sam has contributed her time and experience to the BVNA Advisory Board – a term which she has again opted to extend to continue her support of BVNA. She has also participated in additional BVNA member working groups, including those supporting BVNA’s response to the Competition and Markets Authority investigation, and work towards reform of the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966.

Honorary BVNA membership was awarded to Sam by then-BVNA President Sarah Holliday (now Senior Vice President). This prestigious honour recognises Sam for her continued dedication to championing the veterinary nursing profession, supporting BVNA at every opportunity over a nearly 20-year period.

The BVNA Advisory Board provides strategic support to both BVNA Council and the staff team, ensuring that, as a BVNA member, we continue to support you as effectively as possible. Find out more about us here.
