There are 4 BVNA award categories for this year – Nominations will open on the 1st of June and close on the 31st of July. The four awards are:


BVNA Veterinary Nursing Journal (VNJ) Writer of the Year

This award is for articles which have encouraged discussions, driven positive change, or improved clinical standards in practice.

BVNA Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) Champion of the Year

A registered veterinary nurse that has gone out of their way to raise awareness of the RVN role with regards to ensuring that colleagues and clients understand the needs for protecting the title, legislative reform and what nurses actually do.

BVNA Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) Mentor of the Year

A registered veterinary nurse that has made a real difference to a colleague in their development by supporting them with this and enabling this person to individually progress.

BVNA Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN) of the Year

A student veterinary nurse that has not only undertaken their training but has contributed to raising awareness of the veterinary nurse role or has been supportive to other students throughout their studying.
