Who?

If you have or have had any kind of role within the veterinary community whether fully qualified or student, clinical or support, active or retired, and identify as any part of the LGBTQIA+ community no matter how great or small, then we would like to hear from you! Even if you have not experienced or witnessed any discriminatory behaviour(s) we are still very interested in your participation.

What?

This is a purely voluntary and anonymous survey that should only take about 10 minutes to complete. The aim of this study is to examine specifically the experiences of LGBTQIA+ colleagues and any discriminatory behaviour(s) they may have personally experienced or witnessed during their working days. We will therefore be asking questions about your sexual orientation, gender identity, and to answer further questions on any discriminatory behaviour(s) you may have experienced or witnessed related to sexual orientation and/or gender identity if applicable.

Why?

Insights from this study will help inform the veterinary community at large how to better support its LGBTQIA+ members and give us evidence to present to bodies such as the BVA, RCVS and other organisations and to help develop more relevant training materials for the veterinary community at large.
