Do you want to be part of the solution to saving the planet? Take part in the Antibiotic Amnesty during the month of November. You can play this video in your waiting room, have collection bins near reception to enable clients to deposit unused antibiotics, or complete an antimicrobial use audit to identify areas for improvement.
As part of our One Health strategy, BVNA is collaborating with our human-centred counterparts to raise awareness of the dangers of antibiotic resistance. This two-pronged approach aims to capture attention in both doctor’s and veterinary practice waiting rooms reinforcing the message of the responsible use of antimicrobials.
Visit either the RCVS Knowledge or RUMACA&E websites for more information on how to get involved. Look out for more communications throughout the month as we join the Scottish Antimicrobial Nursing Group during World Antibiotic Awareness Week from 18-24th November.
Remember to use the #AntibioticAmnesty on all your social media posts and let’s stop people flushing unused medicines down the toilet.
