Vet Nurse - Have your voice heard!

With only a few days to go, be sure to make your voice heard!

There are increasing concerns that the current Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 is no longer fit for purpose. The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons [RCVS] – the regulatory body for vets and vet nurses, formed a Legislative Working Party [LWP] in 2018 to carryout a review of the Act. The BVNA and other organisations within the veterinary profession are part of the LWP.

As a result of their work, the LWP has proposed reforms outlined in a consultation document which open to the public to complete before 5pm on Friday, 23 April.

You can access the consultation document here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LRDGYZ8.

BVNA carried out a series of webinars to help explain some of the reforms and these can be seen on our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/BritishVeterinaryNursingAssociation/videos/?ref=page_internal

The videos have been viewed by almost 7,000 people and we’ve received great feedback.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to veterinary nurses to make a change to the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and make a difference to the future of veterinary nursing. Make your voice heard!
